Stevenage Rocks
Have you heard of the facebook site Stevenage Rocks? Are you a member and have already joined in the rock hiding phenomenon? It's a fantastic idea to get the kids out and about in the fresh air to hunt for rocks. Simply paint some rocks, any design, you don't have to be an amazing artist and hide them when you are out and about, maybe the parks you visit with the kids or whilst you are out on a dog walk. Members who find other rocks post them on the fb site to say where they found them. Some rocks have travelled far and wide! This Christmas the Westgate Centre will be hiding lots of Snowmen rocks for people to find. Each rock can be exchanged at reception for a free entry to Santa's Grotto. We normally do this throughout the year with different giveaways from shopping vouchers to Easter Eggs.
